As we speculated recently, Microsoft has confirmed that those attending two upcoming conferences (PDC and WinHEC) will receive an early beta of Windows 7 for evaluation.

The highly-anticipated successor to Microsoft’s much-maligned Vista may arrive ahead of schedule.
With Vista getting so much heat after its launch, it wasn’t long before Microsoft was hinting at a ramp-up to version 7 as early as 2009.
Video Ban

Google has recently placed a ban on certain videos being uploaded to YouTube and GoogleVideo.
I don’t know if we should feel any safer now that these types of videos have been rejected but there are a lot of crazies out there and no sense ‘arming’ them with information.
Digital TV Test

There has been plenty of concern over the past year that the FCC isn’t really prepared for the shift from analog tv signals to digital tv signals that will happen early next year. Well, they have finally had a chance to see with a recent switchover test in Wilmington, N.C.
