Get real. Microsoft has announced they are paying Seinfeld 10 million scahootas to endorse Vista!
Tell you what. I’ll endorse it for a lottt lesss!
‘Who cares about what you think?’
Ah, good point….however, may I retort — who cares about what Jerry thinks?
I know the concept however. They obviously are going to play off the fact that ‘the show about nothing’ made it plain that Seinfeld was a big Mac user and now he has come to his senses and in his older, less cool days is ready to heartily endorse Vista.
You know a lot of things that were hip and cool in the younger days, seem uninteresting and unimportant later on.
So this approach will mean little, it may evenĀ cause a number of younger viewers to say — who’s Seinfeld?
Tell you what, though. Since XP is officially unavailable at your local retailer now, and I will be supporting a number of Vista users, I decided I just had to try and use it some or not be able to support it much at all.
And I will say this. On my box at least, things are a good deal better since SP1. Some of the incompatibilities are gone, speed is better, and some network issues are solved.
Since RAM prices have plummeted the past year, getting a machine with 3 or 4 GB of RAM doesn’t hurt much. Hard drives have also taken a tumble. So the economy side isn’t much of an issue right now. I just bought for a relative the other day a Dell 1525 Inspiron notebook for $449. Not a powerhouse but it runs Vista Home Premium very nicely with 2GB of RAM and with a 160GB hard drive, there is room to breathe for a while.
But please, not Jerry, not for 10 million….
