YouTube API

In a move designed to broaden its global reach, YouTube today introduced an easier way for people to share videos they create. They are providing free access to the API - that will let people greatly expand their use of YouTube on web sites and cell phones.
Previously, you could put the YouTube player on web sites and view videos from the online library, but there was little control over how the videos were displayed and there was no way for users to play videos they created themselves. Now, people will be able to customize the player, comment and send YouTube the videos they make - all from their own sites and cell phones.
In fact, one feature allows the user to customize the way the player appears on their site so it fits more with their site design. That allows people to remove some of the YouTube identifiers that normally appear on the player.
So now people everywhere can take advantage of this video tool…except those on dial-up.
