Google Aids Hackers

Well, at least a new tool does. Something called Goolag Scan has been released which makes it easier to use Google when searching for website vulnerabilities.

The group CDC, which released BackOrifice (a remote access ‘tool’) 10 years ago has just released Goolag Scan. It doesn’t really provide anything that can’t be done with Google already, it just removes the need for the code, etc. that one had to input previously to get the same results.

The new tool is equally provocative as BO was, making it easy for unskilled users to track down vulnerabilities and sensitive information on specific websites or broad web domains.

This capability should serve as a wake-up call for system administrators to run the tool on their own sites before attackers get around to it, according to CDC.
